What is Invisalign®?

A brand of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign® is used to straighten teeth. It’s a great alternative to traditional metal braces, which use brackets and wires to straighten teeth. Invisalign® aligners are made of a strong, clear, and comfortable plastic material. They are custom-made for each patient. 

The patient wears a series of aligners, each of which is worn for only about two weeks before it’s replaced with the next aligner in the series. The device applies gentle pressure to the teeth, gradually shifting them into place.

Perfect for people who are self-conscious about wearing traditional metal braces, Invisalign® aligners are virtually invisible when worn. Also removable, it’s easier to brush and floss teeth and to eat certain foods with the aligners compared to braces.
